Flour Tortilla

A tortilla is a type of thin flatbread that is originally made with ground maize (corn) but also exists in a wheat flour version. The corn tortilla is a staple of the North American and Mesoamerican cultures : Aztecs used to eat corn tortillas with each one of their meals. Today, these corn flat breads are a basis of the Mexican cuisine : they are used to make popular dishes such as quesadillas or enchiladas. The wheat flour version is used to make burritos.
